DINH QUAN RIGHT IN ITSELF Dinh Quan's paintings spread endless nights, exciting dreams and poetic thoughts. This world is not real but alters its ecological life in the blazing, fabulous light of gold and silver emulsion as well as in the deep night of black lacquer. The transcendence of senses which is the vital force of pumice lacquer, dates centuries back in Vietnam. In Dinh Quan, the painting space of Asian spiritually is now stated with proliferous forms, now emaciated and bristling with Buddha's arms. But like humans, art is never ascetic but seeks liberation right in itself, amid worldly involvements and Revelation by living images. We don't call ourselves other than humans. THAI BA VAN |
